At least the man page should say how to back out. The best I could do
was kill -1 PID, and good thing it was not the only window.

Anyways, unless some disaster will be caused by ^C or ^Z, they should
not be caught, but should only be caught by special settings in the
package being reconfigured.  Or some message should be printed etc.

I see some of this is mentioned on manual page debconf-devel(7).
