Is it possible to compile Asterisk with at least SRTP support? I know that this feature is not included in the official tarballs provided by the Asterisk devs, since it is considered experimental, but the same stands for TLS for SIP which is included! Afterall, Asterisk 1.6.x branch is not proposed for production systems yet (Asterisk 1.4.x is an LTS version with 1.8.x being the next LTS), so I think that it would be good to have it with SRTP support in Debian Unstable for those who need it (and if everything goes well it might get it for the next Stable release). Asterisk with SRTP support can be found here: http://svn.digium.com/svn/asterisk/team/group/srtp/ http://svn.asterisk.org/svn/asterisk/team/group/srtp_reboot/ Asterisk devs told me that the latter one is more up-to-date. As for ZRTP, Phil Zimmermann and his zfoneproject provide a patch for Asterisk: http://zfoneproject.com/docs/asterisk/man/html/u_guide.html But I can understand that this is difficult to include, since it is not supported at all by the Asterisk devs (actually, I 've been informed that they don't have any intention to do it in the near future, since at the moment ZRTP doesn't have any official IETF RFC, although a draft is submitted: http://zfoneproject.com/zrtp_ietf.html ). Thanx in advance.
