It may work, but it depends on other GNOME/GTK+ stuff. I would expect
a KDE user to prefer a KDE update notifier instead. And since this
supposed to start automatically on login, it may conflict with a KDE
update notifier. It's the same as nm-applet which has NotShowIn=KDE
as well.
