Package: dpkg-dev
Version: 1.15.7
Severity: wishlist
File: /usr/bin/dpkg-buildflags

Hi,

for those architectures that support multible ABIs via gcc-multilib it
would be nice to get the right flags for each ABI. E.g on amd64:

dpkg-buildflags -ai386 --get CFLAGS
-g -O2 -m32

This could be further extended to cross-compilation by adding CC and
friend flags. E.g. on amd64:

dpkg-buildflags -aarmel --get CC
armel-linux-gnu-gcc
