Package: slurm-llnl
Version: 2.1.7-1
/etc/logrotate.d/slurm-llnl contains the following line:
/var/log/slurm-llnl/slurmd*.log /var/log/slurm-llnl/slurmctld*.log {
the "slurmd*.log" wildcard also matches /var/log/slurm-llnl/slurmdbd.log
from the slurm-llnl-slurmdbd package, which is covered by its own
/etc/logrotate.d/slurm-llnl-slurmdbd file:
/var/log/slurm-llnl/slurmdbd*.log {
this results in the following error message being mailed every morning:
/etc/cron.daily/logrotate:
error: slurm-llnl-slurmdbd:1 duplicate log entry for
/var/log/slurm-llnl/slurmdbd.log
error: found error in /var/log/slurm-llnl/slurmdbd*.log , skipping
do these logrotate rules really need wildcards?
