Thank you for taking the time to look in to this. I will wait a bit
and see how things go with proposed-updates before tracking down and
talking to the backports team.

As it currently stands the default functionality of this tool can be
broken by third parties outside of Debian. A switch to Debian's
pastebin could eliminate this risk.

My thoughts on this was that paste.debian.net was something that
Debian can control. When pastebin.com changes their format, I doubt
they stop to think about breaking pastebinit in the current stable
release of Debian. The maintainers of paste.debian.net would be able
to take this into consideration when making changes to the service.

Also, it is less of an issue, but pastebin.com is ad-supported whereas
paste.debian.net is just "free".
