In Debian bug #539337, you reported domain authentication issues with winbind in samba 3.4.0. Downgrading to 3.2.5 solved your problem. Please accept our apologies for not following up on your bug report. Have you tried to reproduce this problem with later versions of the samba packages in Debian. The current version in squeeze is not 3.4.7 and I even uploaded 3.4.8 in unstable yesterday. You can also try backports; from backports.org is you're using a lenny machine. --
