Package: couchdb Version: 0.11.0-1 Severity: grave Justification: renders package unusable
As one of dependencies, couchdb/testing package have "libjs-jquery", without version specified. In most systems, by default will be installed stable version, which currently is "1.2.6-2". But JS files from Futon use "this.live()" call, which is not present in jQuery prior to 1.3.x (if I remember correctly). At least, "live()" call is absent in libjs-jquery-1.2.6-2, and so, right after instaling Futon interface can't be used. To fix this problem, libjs-jquery/testing should be installed manually. -- System Information: Debian Release: 5.0.4 APT prefers stable APT policy: (900, 'stable'), (800, 'testing'), (700, 'unstable'), (600, 'experimental') Architecture: i386 (i686) Kernel: Linux 2.6.26-2-686 (SMP w/1 CPU core) Locale: LANG=en_US.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=en_US.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/bash Versions of packages couchdb depends on: ii adduser 3.110 add and remove users and groups ii erlang-base [erlang-abi- 1:13.b.4-dfsg-5 Erlang/OTP virtual machine and bas ii erlang-crypto 1:13.b.4-dfsg-5 Erlang/OTP cryprographic modules ii erlang-inets 1:13.b.4-dfsg-5 Erlang/OTP Internet clients and se ii erlang-ssl 1:13.b.4-dfsg-5 Erlang/OTP implementation of SSL ii erlang-tools 1:13.b.4-dfsg-5 Erlang/OTP various tools ii erlang-xmerl 1:13.b.4-dfsg-5 Erlang/OTP XML tools ii libc6 2.10.2-6 Embedded GNU C Library: Shared lib ii libcurl3 7.18.2-8lenny4 Multi-protocol file transfer libra ii libicu42 4.2.1-3 International Components for Unico ii libjs-jquery 1.4.2-2 JavaScript library for dynamic web ii libmozjs2d 1.9.1.9-7 The Mozilla SpiderMonkey JavaScrip ii lsb-base 3.2-20 Linux Standard Base 3.2 init scrip ii mawk 1.3.3-11.1 a pattern scanning and text proces ii procps 1:3.2.7-11 /proc file system utilities couchdb recommends no packages. couchdb suggests no packages. -- no debconf information -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to debian-bugs-dist-requ...@lists.debian.org with a subject of "unsubscribe".
