I had exactly the same problem on a second machine today. Updating to dash_0.5.5.1-5 had no immediate effect on the running system, but after a cold restart of the machine, and a sequence
Meta-1, Meta-CR, Meta-S, Meta-CR, then neither Meta-P, nor Meta-A, Meta-K work. Nor does Ctrl-Alt-Backspace to kill Xorg. Like in #582102 it is necessary to kill Xorg forcably from the console in order to get regain control. Using Bash as shebang in /etc/X11/wmii-3.5/wmiirc restores the expected behaviour.
