I think the problem is that config->netid is uninitialised if the config
is derived from a line in /etc/ethers. Disabling i18n fixes it because
there's different random junk there.
Please could you try
http://www.thekelleys.org.uk/dnsmasq/test-releases/dnsmasq-2.55test1.tar.gz
and see if it fixes the problem? (If you can't easily build the source,
let me know and I'll find a 64 bit machine to make a binary package).
