Some testing of the script... >> Upstream: http://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=618302 >> >> Someone posted a conversion script there. >
So gthumb (<=2.10) had "Libraries" with "Collections" in those libraries. Under ~/.gnome2/gthumb/collections there are directories (the libraries) and in each of these directories there are gqv files (and perhaps sub-libraries...not sure). It looks to me that the script assumes there are no libraries, but presumably it could recurse into the libraries easily enough and map to a hierarchy of catalogs. Seems the script is a good start to what I would characterise as a critical flaw in the expected upgrade path of gthumb from lennyto squeeze (and any other distribution upgrade path of course). > Is there a way to do this automagically from within gThumb itself? I'm very happy to test any scripts but alas, probably can't help much on the technical side of things. > Also, it might be useful to put that script in the next release tarball -- > maybe make an "extra" toplevel directory in the source tree, with scripts > to be installed at downstream's discretion? > > Thank you! > David Thank you all for such a speedy response and pointers to the solution.
