I switched from the Debian version of valgrind to the upstream valgrind
From svn. And while this didn't seem to help initially, suddenly now I'm
not seeing these strlen errors anymore.

I have no idea why the newer version didn't seem to work for me
initially, but I'm happy that I've got something functional for now. And
I'll look forward to when newer valgrind is released and then included
in Debian.
