Are you sure? If so, what did syslog say at that very moment?

(yes, I know, I also need to do some output to stdout or stderr at that
point -- it's on the TODO list)

Actually, it seems fixed in the most recent version in sid. I'll
double-check, though, but not today, so reopening.
