On my laptop, Debian Lenny amd64: This is perl, v5.10.0 built for x86_64-linux-gnu-thread-multi On the Redhat system (Scientific Linux SL release 5.5 (Boron)): This is perl, v5.8.8 built for x86_64-linux-thread-multi But I reported and reproduced this bug on my desktop (running Debian testing, i386), so it's not simply an older/newer perl version issue, is it?
