This file should be put as debian/po/fr.po in your package build tree. It is based on the templates proofread by the debian-l10n-english mailing list contributors available in #586533. BTW, I agree with Christian about the copyright stuff [1], I don't even think we can claim on any copyright mention "just" for reviewing *your* templates, please, do whatever fits your requirements for the templates. [1] http://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=586533#15 The same goes for the French translation: copyright is "property" of the Debian French l10n team just to ease the process if translator change in the future (if every translator puts her name in the copyright, it might be a long list some days), but feel free to change the copyright owner at your convenience (the last translator comment on line 5 is not a legal one, its purpose is just to document who did the work, and when, it might be quite handy sometimes).
