Hi Mike. I just tested this using awesome, and the problem does not occur, so I guess that the window managers that you are using are masking the problem. (I guess that the window manager needs to support focus stealing for this to happen.) The problem can be seen using icewm or jwm. I'll try and test some more window managers, as time permits. This problem was reported against iceweasel, but it also affects iceape. Do I need to file a separate bug report for that?
