Package: hobbit
Severity: normal
Version: 4.2.0.dfsg-14lenny3

I have one system which hosts some virtual machines. SSH access to
them is given by doing port-forwarding on some higher ports.

So in bb-hosts, I wrote:

123.456.789.123 somehostname # ssh ssh:2200 ssh:2222

On our hobbit IRC bot (from hobbit plugins) I now see a steady
flickering between yellow and green:

19:44:47 <somehobbitbot> somehostname ssh is yellow (was green)
19:44:50 <somehobbitbot> somehostname ssh is green (was yellow)
19:45:12 <somehobbitbot> somehostname ssh is yellow (was green)
19:45:14 <somehobbitbot> somehostname ssh is green (was yellow)
19:45:48 <somehobbitbot> somehostname ssh is yellow (was green)
19:45:51 <somehobbitbot> somehostname ssh is green (was yellow)
19:46:49 <somehobbitbot> somehostname ssh is yellow (was green)
19:46:51 <somehobbitbot> somehostname ssh is green (was yellow)

On the website in the last log entries section of the test's history
it looked even stranger:

Mon Jun 28 19:46:49 2010 0:01:01
Mon Jun 28 19:46:49 2010 none
Mon Jun 28 19:45:48 2010 0:01:01
Mon Jun 28 19:45:48 2010 none
Mon Jun 28 19:45:12 2010 0:00:36
Mon Jun 28 19:45:12 2010 none
Mon Jun 28 19:44:45 2010 0:00:27
Mon Jun 28 19:44:45 2010 none

If I go back to one ssh entry (independent if I choose the one causing
the green or the one causing the yellow state) in that bb-hosts line,
everything is fine and calm again and the state displays the state of
the one single ssh server tested then.

IMHO the ssh test (and possibly others which allow the addition of
port numbers) should work similar to the http test which is capable of
accumulating the test results of more than one URL given in its
bb-hosts line.
