Package: transmageddon Version: 0.16-1 Severity: wishlist I am currently looking for a solution to archive my own videos for long-term storage.
In this task, for obvious purposes, I would like to stick with Open Formats only. Regardless if I use Theora or VP8 for the video, I get very bad quality with some videos (especially those from grainy, VHS sources), since there is no possibility to tell transmageddon to "think very hard, even if it takes a huge amount of time" (read: "control the quality"). Also, there are no possibilities of: * setting up a denoising filter (needed by such VHS sources). * setting up a deinterlacing filter (idem). It would be very nice to have those features available in any way and transmaggedon is a very nice application otherwise.
