Thanks for this report. I tried to reproduce your bug with the new
version 0.42-1, uploaded a short time ago. I had no success, so could
you please try the new version and report what happens?
It might be that the problem is specific to the amd platform.

Do you mean bug #296126 "inkscape: got frozen with 2 buttons"? This was
reported on Mon, 21 Feb 2005, which is about half a year ago and was
closed with the last upload. Please test and report your results.
