Package: iceowl-extension
Version: 1.0~b2-1
Severity: grave
Justification: renders package unusable

Hello,

I have wondered why icedove doesn't start anymore.
The cute things are:

* no stacktraces (also with -dbg) no usefull debugging output etc, it just
   silently exits with $? = 1
* If I run it with -safe-mode it works
* Closing icedove (runned by -safe-mode) and running again only icedove:
everything
   works
* Closing again icedove and starting it without safe-mode: same error as before

I removed every icedove addon (okay I am only running it with iceowl and
dispmua atm),
after I have removed iceowl, it works!

After installing it again: same as before, so 100% reproduceable on this system.
This has been reported in another bug howefer any suggestions on howto
track this down would be welcome since it's working fine here on two
machines.

Are they maybe both running on amd64? My amd64 desktop (which has
got the same extensions and the same ~/.icedove (I am syncing them))
does not have the problem, yet.
No. There both running i386. The other reporter is running amd64 and
seeing the problem.

What about icedove 3.1.2? Maybe it is fixing the problem, there are
many "stability fixes", I don't know them exactly..
Yeah, I'm waiting for Chris to upload it. AFAIK he's almost done.

okay I have retested it now with the mozilla nightlys from here:
http://ftp.mozilla.org/pub/mozilla.org/calendar/lightning/nightly/linux-xpi/

With them everything works
