Hello there, first I must agree with Torsten L. when complaining on those two flaws he mentions. Both rescue measurements are correct.
Now that Ben H. has gone through the labour to do a complete patch set for aftpd (I found it to large a pansum at the time of my contribution) it would be desireable to take this Debian patched version of aftpd as starting point, checking for unwanted behaviour, and so on. There is clearly no hope to see any upstream author return to coding in the future, even much less hope to see it happen any time soon! To me it is clearly superior to have aftpd fully support IPv6, rather that only restore functionality in a mixed environment, as my patch was suggesting.
