Mattia, thank you for reporting the issue. I am no longer using im-switch, but it's successor im-config. Would you please be so kind to compile http://oss.leggewie.org/deb/scim_1.4.9-6.dsc (deb, not deb-private directory, sorry for my earlier mistake) and let me know if that version fixes the issue for you?
