kadmind does not appear to listen on IPv6 by default. I'm pretty sure that I didn't disable IPv6 support or really fool with the configuration much at all. In the following: castro ok % netstat -tan | grep 749 tcp 0 0 0.0.0.0:749 0.0.0.0:* LISTEN I would expect to see a tcp6 line as well. This is severity important because full IPv6 support is a release goal and because it's 2010. If you need more information about the system in question, please let me know since this bug report was filed on another machine. -- System Information: Debian Release: squeeze/sid APT prefers unstable APT policy: (500, 'unstable'), (1, 'experimental') Architecture: amd64 (x86_64) Kernel: Linux 2.6.32-5-amd64 (SMP w/2 CPU cores) Locale: LANG=en_US.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=en_US.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/dash -- brian m. carlson / brian with sandals: Houston, Texas, US +1 832 623 2791 | http://www.crustytoothpaste.net/~bmc | My opinion only OpenPGP: RSA v4 4096b: 88AC E9B2 9196 305B A994 7552 F1BA 225C 0223 B187
