Oh, I meant the Edit -> Quick Search entry, which is how it appeared.
Didn't know about the View toggle, but barely remembered hiding it once
from the menu, so I thought it was done there (from Edit) as well.

Yes, of course it's working from View for me as well.

Sorry, I just didn't know about the View entry, as I have said. And it was 
shown from the Edit one, so how would I know about it? :)

I'm ok with closing it right now. Anyway I find it very annoying (not
to say badly designed) that a bar like this can be shown from the Edit
menu and there's no way to close it from there or from the bar itself.
