Package: pam-pgsql Version: upgrade from versions before 0.7.1 will break installations where pw_type is not explicitly set Severity: critical Justification: breaks unrelated software
Nirgal Vourgère brought to my attention that the default password type in pam-pgsql was changed from "clear" to "sha1" between the version in Lenny (0.6.3) and the current version (0.7.1). This change will break the PAM setup for Lenny users who use pam-pgsql but have no pw_type defined in their /etc/pam_pgsql.conf. Because a PAM module might break unrelated software I set the severity of this bug to critical. -- Jan Dittberner - Debian Developer GPG-key: 4096R/558FB8DD 2009-05-10 B2FF 1D95 CE8F 7A22 DF4C F09B A73E 0055 558F B8DD http://ddportfolio.debian.net/ - http://people.debian.org/~jandd/
