Package: xchat Version: 2.8.8-1 Severity: normal If the channel window is closed while xchat is still fetching the list of channels, then the continuing server output gets pasted into whatever window is current.
Luckily, openning the chanlist window again makes it again process the messages and stops clobbering everything. It also looks like no server command can be issued until the flood is over (eg. joining a chan when it has been found rapidly). Maybe a "cancel" button would be good (if doable) to stop the flood and get back to work^Wtalk - waiting for the list on freenode takes ages! -- System Information: Debian Release: squeeze/sid APT prefers testing APT policy: (990, 'testing'), (500, 'unstable'), (500, 'stable'), (101, 'experimental') Architecture: amd64 (x86_64) Kernel: Linux 2.6.34.1-00003-ge5b0813-dirty (SMP w/4 CPU cores) Locale: LANG=C, LC_CTYPE=fr_FR.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/bash Versions of packages xchat depends on: ii libatk1.0-0 1.30.0-1 The ATK accessibility toolkit ii libc6 2.11.2-2 Embedded GNU C Library: Shared lib ii libcairo2 1.8.10-5 The Cairo 2D vector graphics libra ii libdbus-1-3 1.2.24-3 simple interprocess messaging syst ii libdbus-glib-1-2 0.88-2 simple interprocess messaging syst ii libfontconfig1 2.8.0-2.1 generic font configuration library ii libfreetype6 2.4.2-1 FreeType 2 font engine, shared lib ii libglib2.0-0 2.24.1-1 The GLib library of C routines ii libgtk2.0-0 2.20.1-1+b1 The GTK+ graphical user interface ii libpango1.0-0 1.28.1-1 Layout and rendering of internatio ii libperl5.10 5.10.1-14 shared Perl library ii libsexy2 0.1.11-2+b1 collection of additional GTK+ widg ii libssl0.9.8 0.9.8o-2 SSL shared libraries ii libx11-6 2:1.3.3-3 X11 client-side library ii libxml2 2.7.7.dfsg-4 GNOME XML library ii xchat-common 2.8.8-1 Common files for X-Chat ii zlib1g 1:1.2.3.4.dfsg-3 compression library - runtime Versions of packages xchat recommends: ii alsa-utils 1.0.23-2 Utilities for configuring and usin ii esound-clients 0.2.41-7 Enlightened Sound Daemon - clients ii libnotify1 0.5.0-2 sends desktop notifications to a n ii python2.5 2.5.5-6 An interactive high-level object-o ii tcl8.4 8.4.19-4 Tcl (the Tool Command Language) v8 ii xdg-utils 1.0.2+cvs20100307-1 desktop integration utilities from xchat suggests no packages. -- no debconf information -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to debian-bugs-dist-requ...@lists.debian.org with a subject of "unsubscribe".
