The problem in #588739 is well understood and is fixed by the patch which is included into 0.12.5+dfsg-2. If you tried to install windows before it were fixed, and failed, the resulting image is most likely incorrect and windows just just needs to be reinstalled. If you have other problem file a new bugreport with much more details.
