I wanted to upgrade the filesystem hierarchy on my recently dist-upgraded Woody boxes to match what the default would be on a clean Sarge install (e.g. cdrom and floppy in /media instead of on their own in root, etc.) but could not find any documentation in the release notes that would explain in detail what the new standard is. At the very least, a checklist should be provided, so that someone could manually create the required new folders that were added to root and could also edit their fstab to follow the new standard. Ideally, there would also be a short script to help automate at least part of the filesystem upgrade. - -- System Information: Debian Release: testing/unstable Architecture: powerpc (ppc) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/bash Kernel: Linux 2.6.11-imac Locale: LANG=fi_FI.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=fi_FI.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8) -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1.4.1 (GNU/Linux) iD8DBQFDBNZ3eXr56x4Muc0RAuUIAJ4x/EDP8oV9agBDVO0p3zLeoqXLagCfWloR DDWmis7cNJqbuCdgwDQZZ2Q= =RaAg -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe".
