Package: approx
Version: 4.5-1
Severity: normal

Hello,

thank you for maintaining approx.

I have the approx cache in a separate partition, which is an ext3
filesystem with a lost+found directory.

When running approx-gc, it looks like the lost+found directory is
stopping its execution:

# approx-gc
[...]
debian/pool/main/n/ncurses/libncursesw5_5.7+20100313-2_amd64.deb
debian/pool/main/n/ncurses/libncurses5_5.7+20100313-2_amd64.deb
debian/pool/main/c/cairo/libcairo2_1.8.10-5_amd64.deb
/var/cache/approx/lost+found: Permission denied
security/dists/squeeze/updates/main/i18n/
security/dists/squeeze/updates/non-free/i18n/
security/dists/squeeze/updates/contrib/i18n/
debian/dists/squeeze/main/i18n/
debian/dists/squeeze/main/binary-amd64/Packages.diff/
debian/dists/squeeze/main/source/Sources.diff/
debian/dists/squeeze/non-free/i18n/
debian/dists/squeeze/non-free/binary-amd64/Packages.diff/
debian/dists/squeeze/non-free/source/Sources.diff/
debian/dists/squeeze/contrib/i18n/
debian/dists/squeeze/contrib/binary-amd64/Packages.diff/
debian/dists/squeeze/contrib/source/Sources.diff/
/var/cache/approx/lost+found: Permission denied
#

I suppose Permission denied is causing approx-gc to abort the operation
instead of just skipping that file.

Ciao,

Enrico
