I have trouble with the word "properly" in your sentence. > > Cheers, > Julien You can't build 32bit packages for amd64 in a 32bit chroot. That results in the wrong arch and wrong dependencies. The "properly" part is that now the *.so symlinks are taken from the packages. Before there was a hardcoded list of links to create and every time a library version changed the respective link would break.
