Package: sysvinit Severity: normal When dist-upgrading a Ubuntu Hardy box to Debian testing, I am getting the following error:
Unpacking sysvinit-utils (from .../sysvinit-utils_2.88dsf-12_i386.deb) ... dpkg: error processing /var/cache/apt/archives/sysvinit-utils_2.88dsf-12_i386.deb (--unpack): trying to overwrite '/sbin/sulogin', which is also in package sysvutils 2.86.ds1-14.1ubuntu45.1 dpkg-deb: subprocess paste killed by signal (Broken pipe) Errors were encountered while processing: /var/cache/apt/archives/sysvinit-utils_2.88dsf-12_i386.deb E: Sub-process /usr/bin/dpkg returned an error code (1) While this is not supported officially, adding a Conflict/Break against "sysvutils" (which was never used in Debian?!) would make this more smooth. -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to debian-bugs-dist-requ...@lists.debian.org with a subject of "unsubscribe".
