2.6.32 is the stable branch.
2.6.30 is long fucked, please wake up.

the ide stack is dead, switch to libata
or better use images where people take care.

lilo has a large mem option where it *can* boot linux-2.6 images,
so wrong answer.

how about you doing some research, aka proper reporting instead of
useless escalation from the start on.

one specific udev not working != "cricitical RC bug"
and even less on unsupported third party compilations.
