Package: gnome-terminal Version: 2.30.2-1 Severity: wishlist Tags: upstream
Hi, When gnome-terminal is open (at, say 80x25 chars) and a new tab is opened, the new tab has the same dimensions (80x25) but with the default font size instead of the one of the old tab. This resizes the window, which is annoying. It does not accomodate the usual reasons to change the font size (which are either to cram more lines into a small space, or to get better readability). I think new tabs should inherit the font settings from the previous tab. Note that new tabs already inherit other things, for example the dimension (number of rows and columns) and the current working directory, so this would also make it more consistent. Even if this were a controversial change, it could still be implemented as an option.
