Package: docbook-xsl-ns
Version: 1.76.0~RC1+dfsg-1
Severity: normal

When I process a book containing a part with part.autolabel set to 0,
like such:

  xsltproc --param part.autolabel 0 -o test-book.xhtml
/usr/share/xml/docbook/stylesheet/docbook-xsl-ns/xhtml/docbook.xsl test-book.xml

instead of omitting the part label, it generates "Part . The First
Part". The title should instead read simply "The First Part". This
occurs with XSL-FO, as well as XHTML; it probably occurs in the other
formats as well. I've inspected the code in question and don't
understand why it's doing this.
