I noticed the same problem on the latest release of Ubuntu:

    https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/sound-juicer/+bug/672424

Looking at the source code, the Musicbrainz IDs are only written if
the HAVE_MB_EXTRACT_UUID preprocessor define is set. This happens if
the libmusicbrainz library contains an mb_extract_uuid function, which
is only available in libmusicbrainz 3.0.3.

So if sound-juicer is recompiled against a newer libmusicbrainz, then
it should start writing the UUIDs again.

James.
