Just for reference, this (attached) is the result of sbuild -d unstable phonon-backend-vlc_0.2.0-1 on my system. I know it's not the experimental version, but there's something fundamental going wrong on your system. Do you still get the same failure with the unstable version? Thanks, Roger -- .''`.
