I tried to initiate a discussion regarding this topic on debian-devel. Znfortunately only two developers except me participated. Anyway, nobody objected. Thus I suggest to move forward and do the transition. Maybe you (as maintainer of libgpg-error0) would like to comment on this. If you agree with the transition, a package upload with libgpg-error0 in /lib would be great. This would allow me to go ahead with the cryptsetup transision (bug #604936). I guess uploads to experimental would be appropriate due to the squeeze freeze. greetings, jonas
