Hi, I ran into this problem today. I'm thinking about writing a patch, but before I do that, I would like to ask you some questions:
1. Until the recent upgrade of desktop-base, the postinst copied the default background image to /boot/grub. Since the filename of that image has changed, that code is now broken. Correct? 2. The proper way to fix this bug is IMHO to remove the buggy code from the postinst completely and fix 05_debian_theme by addressing the issues you've listed in your mail and maybe make the code less error prone in general. Do you agree? 3. If possible, this should be fixed for squeeze. Right? Best regards Alexander Kurtz
