There is still a UFO in the game, the flying saucer that hogs fly around in. True, the one it was referring to was probably the one replaced by the homing bee, but since one still exists, there is no real reason to change it IMO.
The reason they changed it to a homing bee probably had something to do with the fact that there were two UFOs in the game, as well.
