Package: lsb-base Version: 3.0-5 Severity: wishlist lsb-base now has support for:
Starting fooification service: foo. generated by log_daemon_msg(), log_progress_msg() and log_end_msg(). It would be nice also to have support for: Cleaning up fooification database...done. So far as I can see there is no way to do this with the currently provided functions. The hitch is that although policy requires there to be no space before or after the ellipsis, the current init functions do introduce spaces. I suggest that there be separate functions for this, e.g., log_action_msg(), log_continuation_msg(), log_completion_msg(). -- System Information: Debian Release: testing/unstable APT prefers testing APT policy: (400, 'testing'), (50, 'unstable'), (1, 'experimental') Architecture: i386 (i686) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/bash Kernel: Linux 2.6.12-1-686 Locale: [EMAIL PROTECTED], [EMAIL PROTECTED] (charmap=ISO-8859-15) Versions of packages lsb-base depends on: ii ncurses-bin 5.4-9 Terminal-related programs and man ii sed 4.1.2-8 The GNU sed stream editor lsb-base recommends no packages. -- no debconf information -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe".
