Package: ddclient
Version: 3.8.0-9ubuntu2
Severity: normal

In fact, the problem in 3.8.0 is slightly different; login= works
fine, but password= doesn't: the password transmitted to the server is
always "dummy". There is code that treats the password= setting
specially, and changes it to "dummy". It looks as though this code is
part of an attempt to make sure that passwords are not printed in
diagnostics, but unfortunately it has the effect that the password
sent to the HTTP server for dyndns2 login, for example, is also
"dummy".
