Looks like you might need to install vlc-nox or even vlc in order to get phonon-backend-vlc working. Try it. If it's true, looks like a (grave) bug in phonon-backend-vlc. As for gstreamer, make sure gstreamer0.10-plugins-.* are installed. -- Modestas Vainius <mo...@debian.org>
