Hello, I believe this may be the same bug as http://bugs.debian.org/599791 , which is in the repository to test. Like this report, it's a Motif-based app where a popup dialog ends up below, rather than above, its parent. So far it has only been reproduced on metacity. Please give it a look and let me know if you agree the bug should be reassigned to metacity.
