Just for reference, in the past I've used Distrowatch's table: (http://distrowatch.com/table.php?distribution=debian) for this, which is good since it tracks "components" and not packages and works around the issues of having 'dummy packages'. Although I usually review manually the results to verify them before putting them in the Release Notes.
