Hello Ralf,

thank you for the bugreport.
I did not notice that I had an access to debian-multimedia in my
sources.list configuration, hence the problem.

However there is an issue with the version of ffmpeg currently available
in squeeze and in sid: it cannot be used to retrieve individual images
from a video file, as long as my tests are valid.

I managed to have one part of python-mecavideo working, by using
python-opencv to extract images from video files. Unfortunately I still
cannot manage to create a videofile from processed image sets, when the
version of ffmpeg available in sid is used.

I shall release a new version of python-mecavideo as soon as it can be
somewhat useful in that context. I hope that issues which come from the
current version of ffmpeg may be fixed shortly.
