I have added a note to the README.Debian. This is the text:
Building against coinor-ipopt ----------------------------- When building against coinor-ipopt, it may be necessary to pass one of'-ldmumps_seq-4.9.2' or '-ldmumps-4.9.2' to the linker. In the future, this may become unnecessary through the use of pkg-config. However, it is the needed in the meantime. Please see http://bugs.debian.org/592752 for a more complete discussion on the subject.
