Hi Chris, I'd suggest checking how it goes with 1.8-2 (in squeeze/sid) or with 2.1-1 (available in experimental), and then talk to upstream if you're still having issues. Upstream bug tracker is at: http://bugs.freedesktop.org/ (component is xkeyboard-config). Thanks. KiBi.
