Package: wicd Version: 1.7.0+ds1-5 Severity: Important This is a dead simple bug to reproduce so I'll spare you the technical stuff. Simply put I used to use Wicd from backports on lenny and it conflicted with network-manager causing it to be removed and wicd to work. This time on Squeeze I've installed wicd, its not conflicting with network-manager (installed with default desktop system), and the wicd daemon failed to start. I've manually removed network-manager which also removed things like network-manager-gnome. Considering this package is unusable with network-manager installed and provides the same functionality, it should conflict with it.
