This problem has been identified and fixed by the upstream developer, in his commits a8fca43b and a8fca43b. https://github.com/swilmet/latexila/commit/46f3cdff https://github.com/swilmet/latexila/commit/a8fca43b He will release a new version soon, so I think it is not worth backporting these commits, and that I shall simply wait for the next version.
