Thanks for the idea. I think the patched behavior is incorrect as well, but it might be better than the current situation. It will apply the XKB options in the Xorg configuration, regardless of the layout chosen by the user. The correct solution would be to store the options along with the layout and variant, but it implies changing the semantics of the .dmrc file. I’m probably going to apply it until upstream comes up with a better fix. -- .''`.
